I have to credit Bill for this amazing find. What a great resort set amongst the trees, river, and ocean. Only 25 minutes to Campbell River or Comox, it's perfectly located to amenities yet removed from city life and surrounded by wildlife, the beach, and nature trails.
I can't rave about the resort enough; it quickly became one of our favorites. We were fortunate to call this resort home for a month. We stayed in March and experienced mixed weather. Since it was the off-season, we practically had one end of the resort to ourselves, which was nice. We had a lovely spot backing onto Oyster River along the river mouth leading to the ocean. The views from our window were spectacular.
The resort was well-equipped with bathrooms, laundry facilities, a well-stocked general store and tackle shop, a coffee shop, and a lounge area. It also features a large soccer/baseball field and park area. There is a boat marina offering paddleboard and kayak rentals, as well as boat/fishing and wildlife tours. We noted a propane truck visits the area, but we opted to refill at the nearby gas station. The resort also has a large pool and a smaller kids' pool, but they were closed during our visit.
The resort offers fully serviced RV sites, as well as RV rentals and cabins.

The Cabins
This resort is nestled between Oyster River and Saratoga Beach, with spectacular panoramic views of the sea and mountains and no shortage of an array of wildlife. I literally spent a part of each day birding and captured so many amazing wildlife shots, landscapes, and sunrises.

Nearby Campbell River provided a variety of shops and activities. There was a nearby grocery store, liquor store, and a gas station that also sold propane just five minutes from the resort. We took a day trip to Qualicum/Parksville and also toured the Horne Lake Caves, as well as hit up a few breweries and eating spots, which you can read about in our other blog posts. The area is ideally situated for easy access to nearby activities and cities, yet it feels removed from urban life with its mountain views and seaside forested setting.
We would certainly book here again. It was truly a perfect blend of exciting activities and relaxation days. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed getting to know them during our daily trips to the store for a London fog or our walks around the grounds, where we would stop to chat.
