Since the weather has a mind of its own and this year we opted to stay in Canada, wintering, the weather has not been optimal for riding our motorbikes.
Having some hobbies and interests you can take with you on the road can alleviate those winter, cloudy day, and rainy day blues. We both have interests outside our bike life. Bill has brought carving tools and wood projects he enjoys working on.
Both of us also enjoy photography and bring our cameras with us when we travel. I have a big passion for birding and wildlife photography, which can be viewed/ followed on my Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Bill usually has a book on the go and we have a few games we bring along like backgammon, nintendo switch, playing cards and crib and once in a blue moon I bake when the mood strikes.
We like getting out for hikes rain or shine and there is always an awesome hike trail around every corner no matter where you travel. This trip we brought our snow shoes and poles to enjoy some winter activties and Spring snowshoeing on Vancouver Island.
The list is endless of things one can do to aleviate boredom and or have things to do when on the road:
Knit & Crochet
Puzzles
Movie Marathon
Baking
Read a Book or Magazine
Paint or Draw
Organize Your Space
Start Your Own Blog
Jewelry Making or Macramé
Word Searches or Crosswords
Visit Local Museums
Make Flies for Fishing Tackle
Bird Watching
Hiking local trails
Write/ Journal
Visit a Brewery/ Wine Tasting
Find Local Artisans to Visit
I think the fun part of life on the road is that it forces you to discover parts of yourself and talents you never knew you had or could do.
"Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best." — Henry Van Dyke
